Tyra Gomes is a Licensed Resident in Counseling with Fountain of Hope Counseling Center LLC. In 2018, She graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Criminal Psychology, June 2023 she received her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She is certified as a QMHP-A and a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist.
Tyra began her counseling career in corrections in 2018 working as a Therapeutic Community counselor for Spectrum Health Systems. Following that experience she has held positions for the Department of Corrections as a case work counselor, a Reentry Substance Abuse Cognitive counselor, and currently holds the position as a Mental Health Clinician for the VA Department of Corrections. Tyra is in process of obtaining her clinical hours towards her licensure as an LPC.
Tyra’s passion is to help clients understand their purpose in life and to manifest the desires of their hearts. She has grown to understand the importance of self-love after working through her own trauma. Her treatment approach is Holistic/Integrative because she believes helping the client as a whole and guiding them in learning how to heal from the inside out.
