Tracy M. Barbee is a native of Youngstown, Ohio, and currently resides in Chesapeake, Virginia. She is the owner of Fountain of Hope Counseling Center, where she is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges.
With over 25 years of counseling experience, Tracy has worked extensively in social services as a case manager, CPS supervisor, and counselor across metropolitan Atlanta and the Hampton Roads area. Her expertise spans a diverse range of populations and therapeutic approaches.
Fountain of Hope Counseling Center, located in Chesapeake, Virginia, offers a holistic counseling approach to individuals, couples, families, and groups dealing with anxiety, depression, addictions, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns. The center also provides nutritional counseling to help clients understand the connection between diet, mood, and overall well-being.
Tracy integrates intuitive awareness into her counseling approach, allowing her to deeply attune to her clients’ emotions, energy, and unspoken challenges. Her ability to sense and understand underlying trauma, personal struggles, and emotional blockages helps clients reconnect with themselves on a deeper level, fostering self-awareness and healing.
In addition to her work with clients, Tracy is committed to mentoring future therapists. She offers a supervised residency program at Fountain of Hope Counseling Center, guiding pre-licensed therapists through the licensing process while emphasizing ethical, client-centered care. She serves as a Clinical Supervisor for the State of Virginia, ensuring high-quality professional development for emerging therapists.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Pre-Law from Central State University, a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Luther Rice University, and a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy from Capella University. Additionally, she has pursued graduate studies in English at the University of Akron. She is a Certified ADHD Specialist and a Certified Integrative Medicine Provider.
