Tanisha Whitley is a Licensed Resident in Counseling at Fountain of Hope Counseling Center. She earned her B.S in Psychology from Mississippi State University in 2005; MBA in Healthcare Management from American Intercontinental University in 2008, and her M.S in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2022.
She has over 14 years of experience in the field of mental health. Her work has spanned from case management, supervising children and families involved in the foster care system, and family reunification. In addition to pursuing her residency hours, Tanisha has worked as a program manager for adults with intellectual disabilities providing services in their homes and in a community setting.
Tanisha is no stranger to adversity and has always had a passion for helping others in need. She specializes in helping others navigate concerns within many areas of their life to include depression and anxiety, difficulty communicating, being assertive, self-advocacy, finding balance, anger management, adjustment issues and self-esteem.
Tanisha’s treatment approach is more integrative and includes aspects of CBT, Person-Centered, Solution Focused, and Narrative Therapy. She is a believer of self-care and showing yourself compassion and grace on this journey called life.
