Briana Spratley is a counseling intern at Fountain of Hope Counseling Center, where she is dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. As a full-time working mom and wife, Briana understands firsthand how overwhelming and stressful life can be, and she brings this empathy into her work with clients. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Christopher Newport University in 2013 and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Liberty University, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2025.
Briana brings over 11 years of experience in law enforcement, where she specializes in investigating domestic crimes, sex crimes, and abuse, which has provided her with extensive crisis intervention training and conflict resolution skills. Her firsthand experience in supporting victims of trauma and abuse has fueled her passion for mental health advocacy, particularly for those dealing with depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. Additionally, Briana is especially focused on helping first responders manage the stress and trauma associated with their demanding jobs.
Briana’s unique combination of law enforcement and counseling skills allows her to identify the root causes of clients’ struggles and guide them toward healthier living. She primarily uses Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify solutions to their challenges and reframe unhealthy thinking patterns.
Briana offers a safe space in a supportive and judgment-free environment where clients can openly share their challenges. Committed to serving her community, she strives to make a lasting impact by helping clients find clarity, healing, and hope.
