Haley Oxton is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Fountain of Hope Counseling Center, LLC. She holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance from Hollins University and a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, specializing in trauma and crisis. While she pursues licensure to become a licensed professional counselor, she also pursues continuing education in holistic and spiritual practices.
Born and raised in Suffolk, Virginia, Haley grew up witnessing and experiencing disparities in the Hampton Roads community. Through the art of dance, Haley learned to express her complicated feelings about the world. Eventually, she came to the question, “Now what?” She realized how impactful dance has been and became eager to help others discover the same sense of fulfillment through movement. Haley integrates her lifetime of dance education with counseling techniques by focusing on the connection between the body, mind, and soul.
Haley employs a loving, playful, and humanistic approach to life. She believes building a therapeutic relationship is the first step to successful counseling. Her goal as a counselor is to help her clients move towards a sense of fulfillment by embracing all aspects of life and self. She enjoys helping her clients overcome anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc. Haley works with clients of all ages and offers individual, couples, and family counseling.
