Miata Wallace

Miata Wallace is a counseling intern at Fountain of Hope Counseling Center. She earned her Bachelor’s in Science degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University and is currently pursuing her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University, with an expected graduation date of August 2025.

Miata is a Virginia native who is committed to empowering clients while on their journey to achieve personal growth and healing. She understands we all have unique experiences that impact our lives differently. She aims to provide a safe space for clients to help them overcome life’s challenges that may hinder their happiness or progress in life. She prides herself on offering nonjudgmental and encouraging support while working collaboratively with clients on navigating through difficulties.

Miata is certified as a Qualified Mental Health professional for adults and children (QMHP-A/C) where she has experience assisting clients of all age ranges with their mental health needs including anxiety, depression, trauma, and issues in interpersonal relationships. Miata has an inclusive therapeutic style with a passion for providing LGBTQIA+ affirming care. She believes in an holistic approach to treatment focusing on how physical, mental and spiritual health are all intertwined in our sense of well being. Miata utilizes an integrative approach combining Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Person Centered Therapy.
